Thanks for this awesome hackathon. I had a lot of fun building an app in a 12H live stream using React Native and Amplify.

More details about the process and the result are in the article:

This is cool! However when you say you evaluate based on code, do you mean you require repo access? I would like to work on a closed source project, that I am happy to share some code snippets from in the blog but not provide full repo access.

It's awesome.

Will my project be eligible if I used only Aws amplify hosting service for my project as I'm new to amplify? I'm planning to use firebase as my backend and deploy it to aws. Will there be any issue if I use firebase as my backend?

Are we allowed to team up? Or individuals only?

1
E

It is only for individuals Leo Driesch.

This is terribly unfortunate. It takes away the building of communities and developers experience in building things together. I really wish hashnode would reconsider their stance on this. Building apps together is part of a developers journey and makes sharing it on hashnode a much more well rounded experience. It fosters junior developers growth into seniors especially as they learn a new technology such as AWS Amplify.

Even allowing a single individual to turn in the project and write the post, while allowing all of their friends to contribute would be a step in the right direction.
